This is my favorite blondie recipe and super easy to whip up a quick dessert if heading to a friends or enjoy at home.
I also like to switch this recipe up from time to time and make in a skillet and add vanilla ice cream. Another option is to add holiday M&Ms or sprinkles for birthdays. Baker's choice!

Equipment
8x8 baking pan or 8 inch skillet
Ingredients
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg, room temp
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup all purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F
Grease 8x8 pan (or skillet) with butter or Pam
Mix butter and sugars until smooth
Mix in egg and vanilla
Add flour and salt and mix just until moistened (do not over mix)
Fold in ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (or M&Ms or sprinkles)
Pour batter to prepared pan and smooth top with a rubber spatula
Sprinkle the top with the remaining chocolate chips
Bake for 30 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean
Set the pan on a wire rack and let cool completely
Cut into squares and enjoy!
